Jira PERT Planning Coming Soon

Project Overwatch for Jira

// jira issues → critical path

PERT scheduling and critical-path planning built into Jira Cloud. Project Overwatch reads your issues, estimates and dependencies, and shows when each milestone will really finish — updated every time an issue changes.

FEATURES

01

PERT & Critical Path

Project Overwatch builds a PERT schedule from your Jira issues and their dependencies and highlights the critical path, so you know which work actually decides the finish date.

02

Realistic Finish Dates

Projected dates count business days and skip public holidays. Estimate in hours or story points — story-point projects use your team velocity to turn points into dates.

03

Milestone Alerts

Set a target date per milestone. Overwatch flags it as at risk when the target is close with work still open, and as missed when the projected finish moves past it.

04

Notification Center

All project alerts in one place, grouped by milestone. Dismiss or snooze an alert just for yourself, filter to your own work, and find resolved alerts in the history.

05

Live Jira Sync

Issue changes in Jira update the plan automatically. If an event is missed, it is redelivered, so the plan does not drift out of sync with Jira.

06

Share with Stakeholders

Send a read-only share link to people who don't use Jira. They see the timeline without needing a Jira seat.

FAQ

When will Project Overwatch be available?

We are preparing the Atlassian Marketplace listing. Use the 'Get Notified' button above to hear when it goes live — one launch email, no spam.

Which Jira versions does it support?

Jira Cloud. Project Overwatch is built on Atlassian Forge and opens as a project page and a global page inside Jira. Jira Data Center and Server are not supported.

Does Project Overwatch change my Jira issues?

No. The app requests read-only Jira permissions. It reads issues, estimates, statuses and links to build the plan, and keeps its own planning data separately.

Where is my data stored?

Planning data is stored in a PostgreSQL database on Google Cloud Platform in the European Union, on encrypted storage. When you uninstall the app, share links are revoked immediately and the remaining data for your site is deleted within 30 days.

How much will it cost?

Project Overwatch will be a paid app, billed through the Atlassian Marketplace with the free trial Atlassian offers. Pricing will be announced with the listing.
